Women’s / Mens sport coats and more – Burberry SS 2010

No doubt, the “sport chic” style is currently a strong popular trend. And what starts as a proposal from Alexander Wang, the famous American fashion designer, turns into a well-liked way to dress with an extreme comfort and without renouncing chic style.

Another fashion company that has incorporated this trend into its products is Burberry, the famous British luxury fashion house, which has launched a Sport Spring-Summer collection. The Spring is starting right now, and the Summer is coming  in a few months; for that reason, Burberry is offering us a great and fresh collection where the comfort and innovation in fabrics prevail. New and trendy styles are present but without losing that classic style of the well-known British fashion house.

The most remarkable thing about this collection is the combination of new fabrics (like ultra-light nylon, high-tech serge, and high-tech waterproof cotton) with more basic fabrics (like glittering textures, silk, and cotton knits). A “symbiosis” between modern and classic styles… and between high-tech and traditional fabrics.

Regarding the women’s line, the feminine figure is emphasized with the use of tight bodysuits and short pants. However, some oversized items were also included in this collection, as well as sport trench coats, ponchos, and bomber jackets. The whole collection is accompanied by chromatic combinations with cold colors ranging from black to white, including shades of gray and blue.
