Tie dye is back in fashion
Tie-dye is a dyeing technique applied to clothing in order to produce an irregular pattern or “a gradient of colors”. Have you ever worn it? At the end of the 80s, when this sort of print was so popular, even bleach products were used to make some cool jeans with washed-out colors. At that time, many fashionistas did some experiments to get this gradient effect successfully.

This year, some fashion houses like Balmain are incorporating this trend into their collections with ripped bleach wash jeans and other features that were typical of the 80s.
By the way, the tie-dye was an effect all of us were able to produce for our clothes, even at home. It was easy and inexpensive. You only needed bleach and dye. The simplest way to get this effect is through knots. For example: you select a T-shirt (you should try with an old T-shirt first) and tie one or several knots throughout it, then you put it into a large bowl containing the powerful combination (bleach and dye) and let it settle itself for several hours. To finish the process, you untie the knots and voila! Your tie-dye T-shirt is ready to be used…
Tie-dye garments were often worn by hippies in the 1960s and ’70s… and now, some decades later, the tie-dye trend is still present on the catwalks.

Even, some celebrities are following this trend: in the picture you can see Sarah Jessica Parker wearing exotic garments… and the tie-dye trend is shown clearly.
