Beige Shoes – Summer trends 2011
What makes beige shoes any different from black shoes or red shoes? Well, they have several advantages over the others. First off, they go with everything. If you’re having trouble matching your shoes with the rest of the outfit, then go with the safest choice: beige. It won’t interfere with the color palette and it will look just as well with an all-black outfit or a summery beach outfit. Nude goes with any other color or color combo.
Another thing that you’ll love about nude shoes is that they make your legs seem longer. Especially in the case of heels, as you would expect! Nude shoes have the most interesting optical effect, as they don’t pop out or cut the leg at the ankle. It’s like you not wearing shoes, yet your legs have never looked better! Also on the plus side, you can wear nude shoes anywhere: to a wedding, to the office, to the beach, the club or shopping. It all depends on what type you choose!
If you have a look around the real life and online stores, you’ll notice that nude shoes are all over. Same if you look at celebrities! Everyone is wearing nude shoes! We made a selection for you, consisting of various styles, which can be worn on several occasions.
Let’s start with the elegant ones. You can find some classic pumps at Aldo, or you can choose something more edgy, like the studded heels from Zara. Wear them at the office and then hit the clubs, without changing your shoes – doesn’t that sound great? If you’re going to be a bridesmaid, the solution can also be found at Zara: the flower embellished heels are incredibly elegant and stylish! And those very high heels will make your legs extremely long.
If you’re not looking for something so elegant, but still want to be as tall as can be, check out the thick heels from Romwe and Modcloth, at very good prices! The ones from Modcloth seem especially comfy! Just as well, you can wear platforms – they’ve become so cool lately! See some examples from the master Jeffrey Campbell or Joe’s.
As good as heels may look, sometimes you need to be grounded and just wear cute flats. We found such shoes at Eco&Greed – oxfords with a twist, and Modcloth – comfy sandals to wear all summer long.
Now that you’ve seen how many options there are, here are some styling tips for your future pair of nude shoes. Because, obviously, if you don’t own a pair, now would be a great time to purchase one!
I was saying that nude goes well with any color. Here’s the proof: you can wear a pair of nude wedges (peep toe would be perfect for summer!) and a nude bag, in the satchel style that we like so much (see Mulberry below) to a red outfit.
We picked a striped summer dress from Mirabella.jp, which is complemented by the bright red bangles from Dorothy Perkins and the golden layered ring of H&M. We thought you’re gonna look so pretty, that you should take some outfit pictures – a designer camera is what you need: Diana F by Kirameki.
You can wear this next outfit with flats, heels or wedges, depending on the time of the day, the occasion and your own feet! Here is a simple, cute dress from Miss Patina, in a neutral color, combined with an excellent basket-bag from H&M. Wear some vintage-like rings with this outfit, like the angel wing one we found on We Like Fashion.
What it you’re going somewhere really, really special? Maybe your best friend’s wedding or a romantic dinner near the Tour Eiffel? Here is our advice for you: an extraordinary dress like the one from Azzedine Alaia is an investment that will last you for a long time! Although pricey, it’s a designer item that won’t go out of fashion anytime soon. It could be worn with a structured clutch, like the white one from Coast. The chain is helpful if you might want to have your hands free anytime. An oversized, extravagant headband will keep your hairdo in place and look very chic. You don’t even need any more accessories – except for those nude pumps, of course!
