Chloe Spring 2011 Collection
After a long, cold winter, we can’t wait to get into the romantic, fluid clothes that are characteristic of spring. And if it is a romantic outfit that you’re looking for, you will love the new spring 2011 collection from Chloe.
The first impression is that this collection is way to simple, without any special pieces. At a closer look, you will find that is is carefully and masterfully designed around the major theme: the ballet dancer, and that the apparent dull simplicity is actually a minimalistic approach. The ballerina influences almost all the details: the tight tops and the fluid skirts, the flat ballet slippers, the lower neck bun – these are all elements reinterpreted in a fashionable manner. The dresses are delicately draped, you can find sheer, mid-calf length skirts and the most beautiful back details: bows and open cuts that make a surprise element.
The color palette is made of neutral tones: white is dominant, but you can also see nude, peach, brown, beige, black and some touches of red, that brighten it up. The collection is complemented by the most simple flats, and sandals with a low heel and ankle buckle. The bags are really nice, small and just as ethereal as the clothes in the collection.
The make up is warm, with tones of brown, that look very natural. The eyebrows are well defined and quite thick, which has been the trend for the past seasons as well. One would have expected a more theatrical, dramatic look for a dance-inspired collection, but this type of make-up is actually way more wearable.
