Sportswear and sport shoes for women: the new Adidas collectionThe new Adidas spring-summer 2009 collection for women is already available in many stores around the world. This collection is marked by the ”Me, Myself” campaign, which is a distinctive and inspiring marketing initiative that will produce an important change in the brand’s philosophy and its media strategy.

“Me, Myself” pays tribute to the individuality, the self-confidence and motivation. The concept comes to life in the form of intimate photos that show women from all over the world by capturing key moments in their exercise routines and their daily lives.

Ordinary and famous women have participated in the campaign, including sport stars that have worked with Adidas in the past. For example: tennis player Ana Ivanovic, basketball star  Candace Parker, taekwondo Olympics bronze medalist Iridia Salazar and volleyball player Miwa Asao.

The creative activity of “Me, Myself” consists of photos that allow us to glimpse those women in the foreground and in a natural way, as if they are unaware that they are being observed, just before, during and after a workout or a sports practice session. In addition, the Adidas products are shown in action as well by capturing their functionality, their great style and design, either at the gym, at the park, when walking the dog or simply when having a good time with friends. The spirit and raison d’etre of “Me, Myself” is put more emphasis and importance on the women themselves in a very clear and determined way. This campaign establishes an original and innovative position for all the fields of commercial activity targeted to women. It also includes a strong identity for products, stores, digital media, public relationships and all the communications between Adidas and its customers.
