Sandro Collection for Fall-Winter 2010-2011

16 Nov 2010

Designers Didier and Evelyne Chétrite started their line “Sandro” in 1984 and have been in the definition of Parisian chic since. For the Fall-Winter season, they offer a beautiful collection of wardrobe essentials. You might want to check their website or shop their products, or, why not, both!

Their lookbook consists of layered outfits, in contrasting textures. For example, the precious silk or lace dresses are combined with tailored blazers and wool jackets – creating great outfits for daytime. But these dresses can be worn in the evening as well – if styled with a pair of heels and an embellished clutch. Mini-skirts also have the advantage of providing a smooth passage from day to eveningwear.

Jersey pants have lately become an alternative for jeans. They look good with high-heeled ankle boots. Slouch pants are also present in this collection, and their color (camel) is not only very trendy this season, but it also goes with almost anything.

The tops at Sandro for this season are bow shirts, graphic and striped tees, white, khaki and denim shirts, as well as silk blouses. These are highlighted by cable knit wool cardigans, double-breasted coats and wool capes. Two especially interesting items in the collection are the black playsuit (who would have though playsuits would go into the cold season as well?) and the ethnic wool-blend coat – a touch of color for the entire collection.
