Reebok + Armani Emporio = EA7 Launch is Getting Closer!
In case you haven’t heard…. Reebok’s European makeover is in full swing.
This century-old sneaker company announced it’s collaboration with the Emporio Armani brand earlier this year. According to the companies’ press release in January, EA7 is a “sporty and sexy” line, fusing athletic function together with a pursuance of fine fashion. The collection has revamped a few of Reebok’s signature styles (in classic black and white) and added what is known as the “Armani aesthetic”. The result? Streamlined, futuristic designer sneakers packed with Reebok’s full performance capabilities.
The white cross-training shoe consists of an hexagonal textured outsole beneath black leather trims, giving this sneaker a sexy-ish edge. A neatly-printed EA7 logo is very much in sync with Armani’s clean European simplicity. A second preview features a black leather oxford shoe (below) with a completely unexpected boost: a heel made up of Reebok’s popular DMX Mega® air pockets which cushion movements during a variety of trainings.
In a market where affairs between athletics and couture run rampant, the Armani and Reebok collaboration may just be the most wearable yet. This standout line, which refrains from being over-the-top, first strutted Milan’s runway during Fashion Week. The sneakers, along with apparel line whose pics haven’t yet been released, are expected to hit both Reebok Concept and Armani boutiques this coming July
