Red Velvet Online Shop, Spring 2011 Lookbook
Red Velvet is a cute shop that focuses on vintage and independent designers. Their clothing and accessories range from original vintage pieces to retro-inspired items. Elsie Flannigan, Rachel Denbow, Emma and Doreen Chapman are the ladies behind this shop, that you will fall in love with gradually. The four handpick every vintage piece themselves and sometimes restore those items that need any modifications. They have a shop in Springfield, Mo, but also an online boutique, where you can even browse and shop the four girls’ favorite items.
If you like the TV series Mad Men, you will definitely like the blue pussy-bow dress that is so Joan Holloway! But there are also very girly dresses, in pistachio gingham, lace and ruffles, candy pink or floral prints. They look really nice with hats or turbans. Hand-assembled charm necklaces as well as fringe ones mix the modern and retro and make your outfit unique.
Besides fashion items, Red Velvet also offers decor pieces. Wall art, chalkboards, and, most interestingly, cameras. The cameras (Brownie Twin 20, Holga) are vintage, and some are hand painted for a cute, customized look. They are functional and made great additions to your home: use them as a decoration or use them to take fun pics!
