Pull and Bear October Lookbook
Pull and Bear launches a look book every month, and October is no exception. The look book for October is perfect for transitioning between the warmer fall weather and the cold winter weather: layers, knits and neutral colors are the key terms in this small collection.
The Pull and Bear look book displays the style that we’re already used to, with contrasting textures, cute prints and fun cuts. There is a line for men and one for women, both of which are youthful and modern.
For men, there are a few essentials: jeans in different colors, skinny or straight; plaid shirts; Nordic style sweaters; leather boots and sneakers; knitted cardigans; vests; woolen coats; knitted scarves and hats. All of these are combined in several ways through the look book, showing real versatility.
October brings along thicker clothes and more layers. The collection includes everyday wear clothes, as well as some party dresses that could work great for holidays. For example, the shiny silver dress with a mod line has been styled for the look book with long socks and boots and a knitted scarf. Our take: wear it with heels and a leather jacket, a sparkly clutch and some tights for the upcoming holiday parties, or just as you go out clubbing in the weekend.
Other shiny ideas come from Pull and Bear as well: a sparkly sweatshirt is worn over a casual plaid shirt, with denim shorts, knee length socks and booties. We love the contrast between the all-American base and the glamorous shirt on top.
For a casual, everyday look, that works perfectly for school, you can try a pair of high-waisted navy jeans with ankle booties, a simple long-sleeve with elbow patches and a hat – throw on a jacket and your medium-sized handbag and you’re ready to go!
Next off, we still find plenty of glitter. A turtleneck sweater is layered with a shiny blazer, which looks just great belted and fitted. Then, a warm overcoat layers these two, contrasting with the very short shorts. Instead of the booties and socks combo, you can try wearing tights – they’re warmer, and make shorts wearable through winter as well.
Another combination of dress and knitted scarf follows, which you can actually wear if you add a coat or a jacket between the two layers. Otherwise, this lace dress can be your little black dress of choice this season, as you can wear it with knits during the day, or with heels and a nice cape if you’re going out.
The next look is also based on contrasts: the lace shorts that almost look like lingerie are worn with a tweed blazer (with an incorporated little hankie in the front pocket – cute!), a graphic tee and boots with knee length socks. The look is really cool, but not anyone can pull it off – you have to be slim to look good in such thin and delicate shorts.
Knitwear is a basic characteristic of any fashion collection this winter – nope, no exceptions here. One idea is to wear a pair of suede shorts with a plaid shirt and then add an oversized knitted sweater on top: it looks good with heels as well as with flats, and you can go to school like this – we’d replace the socks with tights, though, and avoid buying the shortest shorts in the shop.
A glittery midi can be dressed down if you layer it with a long knitted sweater and a cozy knitted scarf. The layering is warm and comfortable, but if you choose to wear the main piece at a party, you should just go for an edgy look, with heels or platforms and a studded jacket, which will make you stand out.
Another silver skirt is dressed down with the aid of knits – do you see a pattern here? The skirt is worn with a graphic tee, a knitted cardigan and mittens, a gorgeous scarf and black, opaque tights (finally!) This is something that can easily be worn just as shown in the catalog!
The last three looks from the catalog are also pretty and based on contrasts. For example, the lace that is barely visible through the knitted sweater looks great with the knee length socks and the lace up booties. A glittery mini is worn with a gingham shirt, a button down cardigan and a lovely overcoat, in what is probably the most colorful look of the bunch. The last look is simple, with a t-shirt and a mini skirt, heeled booties and a matching hat and scarf striped set.
