Nadinoo – Fashion Spring 2011 / Summer collection
The loveliest of retro inspired clothes have gathered in the latest look book from Nadinoo. Light, warm colors make the pictures dreamy and very summer like. The British brand takes pride in their hand-made garments, saying that the experience of the buyer/wearer is much more profound that with clothes sewed in series.
Nadia Izruna is the designer behind these whimsical clothes. She is inspired by the past and that is obvious in every collection. We love the little-boy-like style, with shorts and sailor tops; we love the feminine 50’s inspired dresses; we love the cropped tops tied with bows at the front.
The collection is designed for someone who is playful, but also sexy, romantic, as well as spontaneous, delicate yet quirky. The color palette mostly consists of pastels: lots of light blue, beige, nude, salmon. There are occasional floral prints that don’t pop out – they’re pastel, too.
Dresses, skirts, tops and shorts make the majority of the collection. You will rarely see pants and not even one cardigan or jacket. Who needs jackets in summer? The Nadinoo line makes us think of a day and evening at the amusement park, riding in the carousel, drinking juice and eating ice-cream.
