Jeremy Scott’s Footwear Spring-Summer 2012 Collection for Adidas Originals

Jeremy Scott is a designer who doesn’t know limits. Paradoxically, he is famous and acclaimed due to his extravagant style; his work is very estimated by well-known pop celebrities like  Katy Perry, Rihanna and, of course, Lady Gaga. According to Karl Lagerfeld, Jeremy is the only designer able to replace him properly when he leaves Chanel, which is a clear indication of the status of this designer in the fashion world.  As if that were not enough, Jeremy is very eclectic. That is to say, he loves to work on very varied projects and, for this reason, it’s not rare to see him collaborating with differrent brands. Among his remarkable collaborations, we can cite those with important brands like Swarovski, Longchamp, Linda Farrow and, of course, Adidas.

Well, it seems that Adidas has had a very good result with the creations of this American designer because at this time we have another collection as result of this special collaboration. It’s an Adidas Originals collection for the Spring / Summer season of this year. Actually, last year, during the Bread & Butter tradeshow, some models of this collection (that includes shoes and clothing) were exhibited.

Of course, you need to be as daring  -and maybe a little crazy?- as the designer to be able of wearing these models. It’s possible that they are not liked by some people but, certainly, besides their uniqueness you will be able to catch the attention from your friends and strangers if you wear them. Jeremy Scott for Adidas

Every new collection from  Jeremy Scott for Adidas Originals is certainly a must-see collection. Maybe we don’t want to wear any of the extravant items of this designer from Kansas, but we have to acknowledge that he is very creative and innovative. In fact, his designs are  full of creativity, and who knows, maybe someday these sport shoes transformed into sandals could become very common  as an usual footwear item.

In this post, we have only some pictures, but certainly his entire collection for the Spring-Summer 2012 season is amazing. Again, maybe they are not for your feet if you are conventional enough but,  from a design perspective, they are spectacular. Totally unexpected.

In this picture we can see a similar concept of open-toe sandals with holes everywhere. This model was made of leather strips to keep the feet comfortably fresh when the hot season peaks. And that sole that resembles a power saw is exceptional.

Jeremy Scott also believes in the return of moccasins but, actually, he thinks they don’t have to be a kind of ultra-formal footwear. And the only thing he needed to demonstrate this was an extremely colorful design… that way, you will look like somebody who wear a pair of tropical birds as shoes.

And what about of this couple of funny gorillas? Of course, they are a right / left pair as regular footwear and their job is to say hi to every single person that you run into everywhere… well, just in case you are going to use them. They are cute, right?

No, you are not going to go unnoticed with any of these footwear pieces. And, as you can see, Jeremy Scott loves extra large sizes with huge tongues where you could write a novel. In this case, we have a tongue with the label “Adi” and other with the label “das“. This model is available in a black & white combination, too.

And here, we have another animal thing. This time, the designer has covered the sneaker surface area with a leopard print as if it were a plush ornament.

Another variant of the same model includes heads of leopards. This is a version for kids. If you have children, maybe you want to show them this picture, see the reaction, and ask for their opinion. :D

Jeremy Scott’s cowboy style is reflected in these white leather shoes with a big silver buckle and front side made of cow skin. Don’t forget the hat, cowboy!

One of the bigger identity signs of this designer is the set of huge wings emerging from the sides. And this time these wings contain stars and bars. This is the perfect footwear to transform yourself  into a pressing catch wrestling.

And here we have more wings in a denim version. Denim, as you know, is always in fashion and people are using it in all sort of different accessories and products.

Lastly, let’s check out some big boots. These ones in pink with padlocks seem to belong to a perverse Barbie full of secrets.

For men, a sandal boot is one of the pieces that better reflects the contrast between different seasons of the year.

And here, another strange and remarkable pair: A sort of sneakers with high structures that transform them into trendy camper boots.
