H&M Eco Friendly Spring Fashion Collection
One of disadvantages of organic clothing is its high cost which hinders the possibility of being sold it in mass. Thinking about this, Swedish Brand, H&M has decided to launch an exclusive Eco friendly collection for its 2012 Spring season.
With this initiative, H&M has became in the first fashion group of the world that uses organic cotton certified. In the past, the company made its products by using 7,6% of organic cotton and now, it has increased more than 20%.
This Summer 2012 Collection has been entitled Conscious, a word that wants to indicate that the apparel has been made with organic cotton that doesn’t use artificial insecticide, where water is strictly controlled and workers farm the cotton by reducing the risks to the hilt.

A lot of printed clothes we can see in this new collection. Nude, pink and pale colors. Many tropical skirts, dresses and shorts in V-neck, wrap effect, wide-cute or embroidered lace.
For example, the dress in the image is 100% recycled polyester lining. Amazing floral design with a narrow V-neck. Following this same floral pattern, H&M show us wide-cut-shorts, skirts and even blouses in a thin and airy print fabric. Really great!

In contrast to Garden Collection released last year which was exclusive for women, Conscious Collection is available for all family. They include apparel for women, men, young people and children. The clothing for men, for example, is also springlike with amazing American blazer styles or fantastic preppy and polo shirts. Short pants is an option in Summer for men too.
The fine-knit navy shirt is a good option for men who are traditional but like to be young. This short-sleeved shirt can be matched with this stretch short in mint green color that was made with 50% organic cotton.

What they bring in white, the color of the season
Mint and white colors have their spaces in this collection as for women as men categories. To break the monochromatic color, H&M matches some designs with bi-color belts. A wonderful idea we love it in this spring collection.
Tops, sleeveless blouses and vests appear in this collection with these two colors and for women . The idea is to feel comfortable and really fresh.
We can find awesome designs in white color like the woven tunic with lace or the natural white cropped jersey tank with a printed design with the word LOVE. So Cute!
Another great look can be the wide-cute tank in natural white that matches well with the fitted jacket that has a excellent ruffle detail at sides.

Coral color
Coral color is also a good decision at the time to feel the romantic spirit of this season. H&M launches some clothes using this nice color. The pencil skirt was made with 100% recycled polyester. You can find this design in powder pink color too. Another right decision is the sensual and short dress with lace that it is tied at waist. Its V-shaped cutout at back is wonderful!
A delicate choice you can find is the strapless, flared dress made with 100% organic cotton. An apparel pretty cute! but only exclusive for young woman (keep in mind).

Exclusive Concscious

Inside the collection, H&M launched an exclusive casual and elegant collection where we can find beautiful and bold color dresses made with recycled polyester. Look at the yellow dress in organza with sparkly stones in its neckline. The floral short and fitted dress is another great design that mixes the concept of this casual category with the joy that evokes the spring season.
To continue with vivid colors, it is the amazing short and flared dress in neon green with and embroidered piping. The thing that makes this dress very unique is the cutout back.

When we think about eco clothing, we don’t think about boring designs anymore. H&M shows us how we can be stylish while take our own actions for a more sustainable fashion future. No doubt!
H&M is now the bigger buyer of organic cotton in the world and for 2020, they expect to increase the use of this material to 100%.
