Giorgio Armani Prive Paris Fall haute couture 2012
Giorgio Armani has introduced its high couture Fall Winter 2012 2013 collection at the Paris Fashion Week -Lumieres d’un Jour-, a collection full of light and contrasts that transports us to the night darkness through its garments. This elegant and sophisticated collection reminds that comfort is not opposed to feminity.
Models with a classic approach, a serious expression on their faces and an almost transparent paleness. A Parisian chic touch is evident in the whole collection. Colorful products are more and more present as the day advances. From pale bluish-purple shades to more delicate pink tones for dawn, also including more light blue shades resembling a clear day full of sun and more intense dark colors for the nights. Shiny tones that remind us of stars. Soft colors that have a beginning and an end on the items and that add simpleness and minimalism to some very classic and typical looks for the season.
Pants are the featured garment. High-waisted wide pants draping loosely. The tailored style is still having influence in a strong way but, this time, the traditional jacket is replaced by cardigans and short jackets that emphasize the shapes of the women on their waists. Rounded necks on blouses that add a three dimensional effect when they are seen from some distance. Wide and sheer skirts. Vast dresses with transparencies and strong necklines that fit very well to the feminine figure. Fabrics like silk, organza, satin and especially velvet invaded the fashion show of Giorgio Armani Prive in Paris.
A game between feminine and masculine features is evident especially regarding the volume and loose shapes of jackets, skirts and pants that allow more freedom to the curves of the women. Straight and basic cuts with pronounced shoulders that strengthen the feminine figure.
As for accessories, there are Philip Treacy‘s berets, showy veils with paillettes and stones, and headdresses with feathers. Giorgio Armani Prive always shows us the best things from the Italian designer. And this fashion designer is loyal to the “less is more” motto by offering us a collection full of color, using the softest and more delicate colors of the night and day fashion. Lacklustre shades and colors full of life that seek for the exaltation of the beauty and quiddity of the women.
