Besides being one of the actresses with more international impact and  participating in the last Burberry campaign for the Spring-Summer 2010 season, Emma Watson has added another experience to her “curriculum vitae”, which is already very impressive. Hardly 19 years old, this French young celebrity is now debuting as fashion designer for the ecological clothing brand People Tree.

The “Fair Trade fashion pioneer” has hired the services of this famous actress of the Harry Potter film series in order to launch to the market a new collection focused on a younger target group .

“I wanted to help People Tree produce a younger range because I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to alleviate poverty and knew it was something I could help make a difference with. It has been the most incredible gap year project.”, Watson stated.

The collection will see the light of day on February 22nd and will include 26 clothing pieces for women and 15 clothing pieces for men. And they will be hand-knitted and hand-embroidered. Besides that, some small accessories also will be part of this collection. Of course, those accessories will be made of organic and ecological materials, too.
