DKNY Winter 2011 – 2012 collection
The Fall-Winter 2011 ready-to-wear collection consisted of masculine-inspired clothes, beautiful outerwear with a focus on capes, warm tones like orange, red and ochre combined with hot ones like pink, classic prints and an overall street style. While we loved the collection and found it stunning, we also like what they have prepared especially for winter: the Winter Wonderland line. It’s a small and warm line that you’re gonna love, not only because it’s perfect for this time of the year, but also because today – on Black Friday – everything is 50%. Besides, DKNY even offer some tips on where you could wear these ensembles: they made a cute list of places in New York, like the pond at Bryant Park or Rockefeller center for ice-skating, or some nice place to have a hot chocolate and warm yourself up. Click here for the list!

Let’s begin with the V-neck tunic dress pictured above to the left, with the appearance of a dress + cardigan combo. It’s made of cashmere, to keep you extra warm, and it looks amazing with any leggings, dark or colorful, simple or printed. It works with booties, as pictured here, but it’s also comfortable so go ahead and ice skate in it!
Something similar comes in camel and gray as well. The dress gives the illusion that you’re wearing layers, when actually you’re not. That’s what makes it so comfortable and versatile!
If you’re looking for a more elegant, special dress, though, the sleeveless maxi is perfect: it’s made of cashmere, so it’s warm, but is also looks great, so you can accessorize it with heels and a leather jacket for a very edgy look, or wear it with a colorful cardigan and a belt to curl up on the couch.

For a casual but beautiful look, you should definitely try pair jeggings with sequin pullover: an instant makeover! The platform booties make you taller but are also comfy, and the bag can carry lots of stuff – so, perfect for shopping, right?
Another way to wear jeggings is with an oversized turtleneck poncho: an incredible warmer, which you can casually wear on the ice rink just as well as on a walk in Central Park.
Next off comes another interesting and unexpected piece: the drape skirt, which looks like it was made especially for the crewneck poncho that it’s paired with. The collar around the neck is knitted on one side and faux fur on the other, so how warm is that? Christmas wishlist, anyone?

Speaking of warm and faux fur, the parka with faux fur lining looks amazing! Layer it over a shirt and cardigan, add skinny jeans and heeled booties and go crazy: you can go on dates, you can go to work, you can go Christmas shopping and so on.
In a similar manner, try jeggings with boots and a draped cardigan: the look is classic by now, and that’s what makes it work.
For ice skating, cuddling in a cabin in the woods or getting your coffee to go on the street, the red turtleneck will surely make you pop, and emphasize your face as well.

What an idea: a puffer cape! We love that it’s both trendy and a warm-keeper, so it goes to the top of the wishlist! Wear it over long sleeves as pictured above, and put on some of those elbow length gloves too.
Another combination of sporty and elegant is the look in the middle: while the heels, red pants and shirt are dressy, the trapper hat is something you’d rather associate with skiing! However, the trapper looks like it belongs with the gray sweater and jeggings in the look to the right.

We love the black and white long sleeve with a snowflake-like print: it’s so cute for wearing at the Christmas dinner or when you’re walking hand in hand with your bf! It looks good with a maxi and flat boots, and the wool beret is a sweet detail.
For something simple yet warm, you can pair jeggings with a long sleeve and a cardigan on top – just add boots, a handbag and go have fun! The same goes for the combination of leggings with a cashmere sweater and arm warmers – you’ll look cute as can be and feel really comfy!
