Chanel’s Top Summer Fashion Trends to Wear Now

20 May 2010

A seaside cafe… and Chanel Saint-Tropez was abuzz with a stylish outdoor crowd for Chanel’s harmonious Resortwear Collection Show 2011.  Clean-faced models strolled barefoot along the natural runway of the Riviera, wearing endlessly colorful, lightweight garments as graceful and poised as the beach itself.

Chanel’s colorful, casual looks brought forth a multitude of this Summer’s trends to the front of fashion.  These fascinations include pastel rainbow colors, printed sheer silk and the use of allover color in pieces that are flirty, free and delightfully easy to wear!

At the top..

Hot Summer Trends: Printed Silk and the Decked-Out Bikini Bohemian-gorgeous prints have made their way to sheer, flowy pieces that are all-occasion and light as air.  Strategically placed prints on Chanel’s hippie-inspired jumpsuit (above) let just enough skin peek through.

Sheer Body Prints This trend has already hit stores in the form of semi-fitted blouses and jumpsuits (top) and billowing dresses with a soft drape.  Step out in Chanel’s embellished tunic style (below, left) or a bold floral tunic from Blumarine, available at Saks.

Bikini Glitz Add a long necklace (detailed in silk) to your bikini for an interesting pool party twist!  Try the triple-strand Honorine Necklance, $80 at Anthropologie.

Hot Summer Trends: Denim, Stripes and The Cardigan, Reinvented Wearing classic sportswear pieces can prove intoxicating, as Chanel demonstrates here.  Grown-up cropped sweaters feature rainbow bright colors and vintage inspired stripes… that are sassy, not tacky.

Bleached-Out Denim made an appearance at the cafe, blending beautifully with these softer styles.  Create your own acid-washed look with the light and pretty Marc by Marc Jacobs Denim Skirt, available at Shopbop.
