Tommy Hilfiger limited collection to help African people

It is a charity collection that the designer Tommy Hilfiger has been supporting since 2009. The designer has joined to Millennium Promise and Millennium Villages Project whose idea is to make significant changes into African communities in order to reduce big problems like extreme poverty and hunger.

The promise collection 2012 has selected the actress Katie Holmes as the image. The new ambassador visited Ruhiira in Uganda, a place where Hilfiger has concentrated his donation. The idea is to teach to this community how to produce its own food. Katie Holmes was involved in this task where besides, people can learn how to combat some diseases and how to educate their own children.

The collection is inspired on African printed specially. It is a limited collection that includes 17 clothes. 5 exclusive products for women, 2 exclusive accessories and 10 products for men.

Women
The most interesting clothing in women collection are the navy dress, the kimberly t-shirt and the comfortable blue short.

It is important to say that every piece was designed by using cotton produced in the same region.

Men
When you see men category you note Hilfiger’s influence. The collection is perfect for wearing in London Olympic Games 2012 while and of course, we support this good inniative.

Accessories
Tommy Hilfiger only designed three accessories but you want to buy all of them. There are two pretty scarves with this specific African style as well two pairs of sunglasses with lovely African details.

The limited collection is available since last week and you can buy as  online as at stores all over the world. 100% of the  proceeds of this Promise Collection are committed with this cause.

“I Promise” makes part of a worldwide organization formed by 193 countries that have been promoting 8 ideas for making better the quality of life in underprivileged people. The goal is to halve extreme poverty by 2015.
