Balenciaga: Shoes Spring/Summer 2012 Collection [PICTURES]. It’s Spring already, and although some places are still having cold and rainy days in the North hemisphere, we are desiring to see those warmer days in order to start to wear our best,  cooler, springlike and pretty looks. Those looks include, of course, sandals whether they are wedge sandals or heeled sandals or flat sandals as well as ballerinas, which while you can wear them the whole year, they are more typical of the Spring and Summer days.

Well, if you are looking for sandals, keep reading because here we are going to show you the shoes Spring/Summer 2012 collection from Balenciaga, the fashion house founded by Cristobal Balenciaga, which is offering us a wide variety of styles of shoes with the best designs.

If you like summery fashion, then chances are you’re looking forward to sunny days so you can start to wear sandals. Although it could be hard for your feet during  the first days due to lack of habit, they always end up being an indispensable item in any summery look. For this reason, we are going to go over some of the best collections of these accessories as such we have done in the past. Actually, we have posted already about some beautiful Jimmy Choo sandals. But today, it’s the turn of one of the most prestigious fashion houses: Balenciaga.


Less than a month ago, we attended the Balenciaga fashion show at the Paris Fashion Week; there, the shoes collection was remarkable. But that’s common with collections from this fashion house that is paying tribute to their founder (Cristobal Balenciaga) these days, since he died 40 years ago, exactly on March 23, 1972.  Well, now let’s go over their shoes collection for this Spring/Summer 2012 season.

 

 

 

• Let’s begin with very high wedges, actually they look like platform shoes because they are higher than 12cm (4.7 inches) high. Balenciaga offers this type of sandals with leather straps and decorated with studs which are a symbol of the fashion house. To tell the truth, you have  to be almost a juggler to get into these models, since the wedge itself is around 13cm (5.1 inches) in the back part, while the front part measures around 5cm (2 inches) high. The price of these models is aroung 600 Euros (approximately $ 796), and they are available on several online store websites.

 

• Now, let’s continue with thin heels sandals, more elegant and sophisticated, especially these models that cover the feet entirely, leaving  out only the toes and the heel part which is tied by a strap. There are outstanding designs in flat colors or animal print which looks like beauty spots when you see it from a distance. These sandals comes with heels that are around 10cm (3.9 inches) high and they cost approximately 545 Euros (around $ 723).  If you get them, you will have one of the most classic Balenciaga models in your closet.

 

 

• But not everything is about suffering on a pair of heels, and this fashion house also offers us a series of flat sandals which were designed with comfort in mind beginning with leather strips  that are decorated -similar to the wedge sandals- with studs. The chromatic scale range from red to turquoise, and you may wear them as part of your more casual or informal looks for 395 Euros (approximately $ 524).

 

 

• And of course, this Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2012 collection had to include ballerinas. They are a must-have in summery days. Year after year, Balenciaga is improving and updating more and more their ballerinas by adapting the latest fashion trends, changing colors or materials. In this collection, the chromatic scale is remarkable as well as the quality of the leather and the studs in the same color as the shoes that are placed on the round toe cap.  If you want to wear the same ballerinas that a celebrity could perfectly use on a daily basis, you’ll have to expend about 375 Euros (approximately $497).

Don’t you love those bright and shiny days from April to August? Yeah, they are beautiful days! And, besides that, you can wear comfortable sandals and summery casual looks! Awesome! Sure, not all women can afford to pay for these designer shoes from Balenciaga, but anyway, you can be inspired by these creations, designs, colors, and materials.
