Alexa Chung, or “fashion’s sweetheart” as she is sometimes called, shows us the trends for this season in a number of the Net-a-porter magazine. Known as a trendsetter, always one step ahead of fashion and always wearing the perfect outfit, she had a Mulberry bag named after her, a front row sit at all the major runway shows and presence in all the fashion blogs and magazines.

Her style is tomboy-chic, and it consists of effortless masculine-feminine combos. She mixes denim with ladylike pieces, masculine bags with high heels, a boyfriend shirt with short shorts, and she mentions that she is truly inspired by the way that children dress.

Alexa’s tip is to go for a balanced look: for example, if you choose a mini dress, you should balance it with a high neckline and sleeves. For those having Alexa’s body type, the mini dress looks amazing with brogues or oxfords. The hair and make-up should be fresh, with accent either on the lips or on the eyes, and a casual pony tail. Alexa advises us to only wear what we like, and not to be afraid to experiment with clothes.
