Alexa Chung started her modeling career at the age of 16, when she was discovered by an agent from Storm Model Management. She had campaigns for Fanta, Sony Ericsson and Urban Outfitters and has been in some music videos. She gave up modeling after four years and entered the world of television and journalism, as of 2006. Five years later, Alexa is on all the best-dressed lists, with her preppy-hipster style that cannot be copied, and sometimes works as a designer. Mulberry named a bag after her (the Alexa), she’s been described as “the Kate Moss of the new generation” by The New York Times and Anna Wintour called her “a phenomenon”.

So, the hipper a face, the more products it will sell. Such campaigns are beneficial for both sides: the actress or singer gets higher visibility, as well as a nice cheque; the brand is more exposed due to the familiar face.
