Loving denim – Summer Trends 2011
17 Jun 2011
Ever since the 18th century, denim has been used by Americans in their clothes. The best quality of this fabric is endurance and this is the reason why denim was initially worn by militaries and workers. Some of the earliest names associated with jeans were Levi Strauss, Calvin Rogers and Jacob Davis. At first, the difference between men and women jeans was the zipper in front for men, and on the side for ladies. Jeans were mostly loose. In the 1950′s they became popular with teenagers and things started to change. Being considered too casual, they were sometimes banned from theaters or restaurants. Jeans became generally accepted and highly popular in the 70′s and they’ve never been out of fashion since.

Lanvin has been in the spotlight for the past seasons, with one hit after another. I’m sure you remember their collaboration with H&M for winter 2010, which was a great success among fashionistas everywhere, as well as their fabulous spring-summer red maxi dresses. This year, Lanvin focuses on much younger fashionistas, aged between 4 and 10. For the summer 2012 season, your little girls will have the possibility to wear Lanvin! Other designers have launched their own childrenswear lines lately, so it’s safe to say that this became some kind of trend – just look over at Gucci, Stella McCartney, Dior, Burberry, Prada, Marc Jacobs or Fendi. Beige Shoes – Summer trends 2011
8 Jun 2011
What makes beige shoes any different from black shoes or red shoes? Well, they have several advantages over the others. First off, they go with everything. If you’re having trouble matching your shoes with the rest of the outfit, then go with the safest choice: beige. It won’t interfere with the color palette and it will look just as well with an all-black outfit or a summery beach outfit. Nude goes with any other color or color combo.

How to dress for the office
1 Jun 2011
Dressing up for work might be more difficult than dressing up for going out. Why? Because you need to stay classy and decent, without crossing the line. Every office has its own dressing code, and while some may permit wearing jeans and a tee, some ask for an office look. Of course, you still want to look your best and maybe even go for drinks after work without changing clothes.
